The precursor of Chengdu Xuguang Electronics Co., Ltd is called State-run Xuguang Electron tubes Factory which was approved by the Office of State Council Defense industries and founded in 1965 at Guangyuan city of Sichuan province. 

      In 1970 Xuguang Electron Tubes Factory begun to run and soon in 1985, 15 years later after its foundation, this factory was determined to be moved to Xindu County. The new factory was begun to build in 1987; and in 1990 the factory was totally moved to the new site and soon it went into production within that year. 

      On Feb. 28th in1994, the state-run electron tubes factory was transformed into a joint-venture company, named Chengdu Xuguang Electronics Co., Ltd.

      In 1997, Xuguang got expanded after its successful purchase of another corrupted medium electric company.

      In 2002, Xuguang was enlisted in Shanghai Stock Exchange.

      In 2003, Guoteng Group joint into Xuguang as the second largest stock holder. 

      In 2005, Xidea group Co., Ltd. got involved with Xuguang and was renounced to be the largest stock holder through stockholding purchasing.

      Over the past 45 years of hardship and experiences in the production of electric-vacuum components, Xuguang gets fully developed and it now has grown into one of the most important enterprises in China which integrates in the production and sales of metal-ceramic microwave triodes and tetrodes, high power transmitting tubes for radio and televisions, metal-ceramic vacuum interrupters and high and medium voltage power distribution units.
